My name is Lindsay and I found this site in an attempt to figure out what is wrong with my six year old daughter.
I came across Cushings and I am sure that this is what she has. She is 101 lbs and has gained 40 lbs of that in the last 6 months. She has a round (completely circular) face, a significant buffalo hump, her midsection is much larger than her arms or legs, she has behavioral, social and learning disablilities.
My husband's cousin had a pituitary tumor that caused cushings and while I know that cushings is not usually genetic, it is the only thing that I have found that could cause all these things. The endocrinologists that we have seen have been less than helpful and they don't even seem concerned. I am so frustrated and I hope that maybe I can find some help on here.
