I have had Still's Disease for just over 17 years. Shortly after that diagnosis, I began taking prednisone. By the time I was found to have a pseudotumor (swelling in the brain) I was on 60 mgs. of prednisone every day. I gained eighty pounds in less than six months--basically doubling my weight.
I am now on a treatment that may curb the Still's Disease enough to where I can reduce my prednisone intake--perhaps even go off of it completely.
