And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
I am 29 years old, and was just diagnosed last wk, therefore, I don't know much about the Syndrome, that's kinda why I'm here.
I have had Reiter's Disease (which is alot like Rheumatoid Arthritis) since the age of 8, and have been taking Prednisone to control the pain along with many other meds.
Last Jan. I had a miscarriage, and another one in July. After the first, the hormonal side effects never went away, so my Dr. thought is was related to the pregnancies, however, after testing me for everything he could think of, he sent me to an Endocrinologist and that is when I was diagnosed with Cushing's Syndrome due to prolong Prednisone usage.
I'm optimistic b/c I'v read that most of the symptoms go away after stopping the steroid, however, I'm also very scared b/c the only medication that seems to help my disease is Prednisone.
