And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
My name is Melissa and I have been having symptoms of Cushings for five years I've been going to a clinic for a few years but they have not diagnosed me even though I have told them that I have been having symptoms such as weight gain hypertension hair loss and early menapause I am only 39.
My weight in the last five years has risen from around 200 to 245 even though I keep active as much as possible.
When I went to the doctor and told them of my absence of a period with in the last three years he shrugged it off and told me it was probably hereditary. I told him about my hair loss which came on suddenly, he said there was nothing he could do about that. I was put on a hyper tenion pill and a blood sugar pill.
And was told that I shouldn't worry about not having a period unless I want to get pregnant. I find this very depressing.
