And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
Oh my gosh I can't believe what I'm reading here!
I googled this site to help me with my homework (I'm a nursing student and I was researching lab values) anyway.....I had never heard of Cushing's disease before a couple of hours ago!
I've been taking steriods for 10 years for my asthma, I have a moon face, hump on the back of my neck, and mid-section fat that I can't get rid of. I will have to do some more reasearch on this web site and the other links that are provided.
Unfortunately I don't have health insurance right now because I'm a full time student, but I hope to be working full time by the end of this year (2007). I'm just a little bit overwhelmed right now with reading the other bios and learning of this disease - the thought that there is a REAL medical reason for my issues is good and scary at the same time. I'm looking forward to learning more and hopefully getting tested as soon as I am able to.
I have so many questions.........I'll definitely be back to this site.
