And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
Hello, I am new to this site.
I have not been officially dx with Cushing disease or Cushing Snydrome yet although I have certainly have many of the symptoms that go along with it.
In 2002 I started to gain weight but not at a fast pace. But since then I have lost and gained and now have gained once again. I went from doctor to doctor and received many different types of medications which I must admit I did not take because they really could not tell me what was wrong with me and I figured if you can't figure it out I am certainly not going to take medications for a problem that you have not yet determined.
In 2005 I walked into a doctor's office who was a DO in internal medicine. He took one look at me and said I believe you have cushings. I had never heard of such a thing. He ordered an MRI done and it showed I had a pituitary tumor which was quite large. The results were sent to a neurologist and he wanted a endro to look at it. Well they lost my records talk about frustrating. none the less I was upset and decided to try other alternatives.
In Sept of 2007 I went in to have my second MRI done. This time I was stunned because it showed where the tumor was and it is gone. I do have scar tissue there but the tumor is definitly gone. The doctors up here are stumped and I am shocked still.
I still have problems and will pursure these matters and I was very happy to find this site and be able to share some of my ideas and expierences with all of you as well as hear some of the things that you have been through and how you are coping.
