Jill's Story...

I have been sick for 18 months and have been to my Primary Care and she has sent me for several tests. The tests include CT scan, MRI's Ultra Sounds, Dexamethasone 1 day test and also the 7 day test and finally they think they have found that I am Cyclic Cushing's. If I understand it correctly I am producing too much cortisol only at certain times.

My symptoms are swollen eyes, hands, feet and a moon face. I also was diagnosed a year ago with Diabetes, Hypo Thyroid and now high blood pressure. Lately my skin has also been getting red. I have also gained a lot of weight over the past two years and cant get rid of it even though I am eating right now. It has been a tough 18 months and it seems like I finally found a Dr. to listen to me and not just look at the test results.

The next step the Doctor is taking is when the symptoms are really at their worst she wants me to save my urine and have it tested. She tells me that Cushing's is hard to diagnose.

Anyone out there have any suggestions on which way to go next? Any help is appreciated.
