My story goes like this. I had my first addisons crisis about 3 years ago. Was told my adrenal glands had shrunken up and were no good anymore.
Went on cortef for about 3 years and one day all of a sudden I began to swell like too much steroid. Went to the doc and he said adrenals were coming back. Slowly went off steroid, got better for a while then got sick again. Went back on steroids, was well for awhile then swelled up again.
That is where I am at now. Back and forth. Feel like I'm going crazy. Just began running test again to try and find out exactly what is going on.
