Dawn's Story

Hi - I am a 42 year old female who has been going down hill since 1992 when after a year of being ill was diagnosed with gall bladder disease. It was removed that year and things seemed fine until my second pregnancy in 1993. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes.

It went away after my son was born, but other things became a problem, over the past 15 years I have been diagnosed with high blood pressure, depression, anxiety, panic attacks, migraines, diabetes mellitus, chronic fatigue syndrome, sjogrens symdrome, fibromyalgia, nueropathy, hiatal hernia, fatty liver, I've had knee surgery, shoulder surgery, two ovarian cysts removed, endometrial ablation (cauterizing of the uterus lining) due to severe abnormal periods, right ovary was removed, chronic severe joint and muscle pain, I've lost all but 9 of my teeth - not due to neglect - always had regular cleanings, brushed my teeth 4 times a day - they just kept breaking off at the gum one by one and I could go on but my fingers are starting to hurt! LOL!

I've always felt in my heart that all of my ailments are due to one thing that's wrong with me that just hasn't been found yet. A co worker mentioned cushings to me and I ended up on this site last week I now have an appointment with my doctor today because I think I have finally found that one thing that is wrong with me.

I will post as to the results of the visit.

Update February 2008:

Just as an update - I saw my PCP and he did some bloodwork and a 24 CFU. The bloodwork was normal with the exception of an elevated WBC count and the CFU came back <3 - which would indicate addisons - but I know that's not it. EVERY symptom I have is the total opposite of Addisons.

He has referred me to an endo - so I'm in the process of making an appointment with Dr L.

Will keep this bio updated.
