And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
Hi, my name is chastina. I was diagnosed with a pituitary tumor, and later cyclical cushings syndrome in 2001 at the age of 15. Since then my life has been a total wreck. The cushings wasn't discovered until after i got out of medically induced menopause for Endometriosis. Mind you i was only 14 at the time. If I only would have known how the Lupron was going to affect my life. After I stopped the treatments I automatically gained 30 lbs in 1 month. I got purple stretch marks all over my body, I was completely miserable.
I went to coutless specialists before I was finally diagnosed by an Endocrinologist 2 1/2 hours away. My family and I were extremely excited to gat a diagnosis, just to be disapointed when there was no treatment plan. I'm still suffering from all the syptoms to this day. It's so embarrassing to have these stretch marks and this hump on my back. I'm only 20 years old I should feel beutiful and young, but I don't. Hopefully one day I'll find some sort of releif, and comfort to just be me.
