And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
I am a 49 yo nursing student, that just received a tentative diagnosis of Cushings Disease from my VA doctor. She is still running tests to firm up the diagnosis.
If it is Cushings, it would certainly explain my long list of standing symptoms, that previous docs tried to treat as unrelated "minor" "annoyances" - (anything but minor to me- rather life limiting for me)
My major concerns are
the pain and fatigue ( they are quite challenging)
surgery and recovery and the time for recovery
period of disability post surgery, and beyond
I am single and need to plan both for my schooling (incl. whether it is to continue) as well as future work options, and economic survival.
Can anyone with the experience or knowledge of Cushings, surgery and or nursing school or other physically and mentally demanding situations, please offer info?
