Babette's Story

I just wanted to share my story.....

When my husband and I were married on November 2002, we knew immediately that we wanted a family. We never imagined that getting pregnant was going to be a problem.

After six months of trying I had went for my annual exam and mentioned to my doctor that we had been trying with no luck. My doctor brought it to my attention that I had Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and that I was not Ovulating as I should normally and referred me to a specialist.

The specialist immediately performed laproscopic surgery to remove the cysts from my ovaries and started me on Clomid therapy as soon as I healed. a year and a half later I found out that I was pregnant with our first child... we were so happy.

The joy was soon ended when we had a miscarriage a few days before our three month mark. My doctor told us not to give up and suggested that we try again. Two months after loosing our baby we decided that we couldn't fear the "What If's", if being parents was what we yearned to be, we had to give it our all so we started all over again and got back on Clomid.

A year later we had just moved into our new home and I found out five weeks later that I was pregnant yet again! This time we were a little more realistic and knew that there were risks involved.

Now that we are in 2008, I we are proud parents to our son Payton Jordan, who will turn two years old in April. I just want to let everyone who wants to have a family and are having a hard time getting there.... Don't give up, be strong for eachother and hopefully you too will have your "Miracle Baby"!!!
