And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
I was officially diagnosed with Cushing's with a huge adrenal tumor in September. I met with my surgeon on October 31st, and he explained the surgery proceedure to me, but I have yet to get a sceduled surgery date from him.
It has been a long and frustraiting road for me as I've watched my health and vitality go down the tube for more than 10 years when my initial symptoms started back in 1994. Over the last 7 years, the symptoms mulitplied and worsened to the point where my life has virtually been completely wrecked of any quality for almost 2 years now. Like many other folks' exeriences I've read about here - I too, had problems convincing anybody that there was something wrong with me, until it was almost too late.
I've lived these past few years embarrassed, humiliated, and ashamed of my appearence, and the frustraition of knowing my health was failing and powerless to do anything about it was beyond depressing.
Hopefully, all that is about to change...
