We are now listed in the American Self-Help Group Clearinghouse.

An online Message Board membership of 836

Weekly online chats, with plans for more frequent, specialized topics

Some of us have added our names and locations to a graphical world map.

Sue maintains an extensive phone networking list.

Our own line of Cushing's Awareness products, including T-Shirts, coffee mugs, tote bags and more.

Six of our members have gotten into NIH this year for evaluation and treatment.

The website has grown so big that we had to move to another server - again.

Cushing's was on CBS NEWS February 27, 2002! Featuring an interview with Dr. Ted Friedman (endo), Dr. Shahinian (surgeon)and Camille K, a message board member, who had endonasal pituitary surgery February 18, 2002.

Lorrie, Sue and Amanda were featured in local media events.

The book is still in the works. Sue started it and she now has some editors to write chapters and help edit.

Regular meetings are held in the Northwest US, Boston, Toledo, OH and Washington, DC areas. Plans for other areas are in the works. Many are making plans for the next Pituitary Conference at UVa, September 13-14, 2002. Enough people will attend that we will be able to have our own CUSH conference room!

Several of us attended the Pituitary Conference at UVa, April 13-14, 2001. We told the doctors how we felt about having Cushing's and what they could do to improve out care and outlook.

Many people found doctors, thanks to suggestions on the Message Boards

Secret Someone program, to provide special remembrances through the year.

Visits to each other in the hospital

Forbes magazine, Best of the Web issue, June 25, 2001, included this website in the cover story

T-shirts in the making, ribbons coming

Plans for a retreat, September 19-22, 2001, Gape Giradeau MI.

A book is in the works. Sue started it and she now has some editors to write chapters and help edit.

Several people from the Message Boards gathered to cheer on Shauna as she had her PSS. They met each other for the first time in the hospital.
