I had a short course of prednisone - 60 mg for 2 days, 55 mg for 2 days, and 50 mg for 2days - then I was told to stop taking it because it was making me so ill.
I stopped taking it and have been sick ever since with excessive thirst, weakness, fatigue, amazingly chapped lips...
I saw an endocrinologist who said although my urine volume is abnormally high my sodium was normal so I don't have DI. They are testing my adrenal sufficiency - in three weeks when they can get me in - in the meantime, no diagnosis.
Has anyone been diagnosed with any such malady after only a short course of prednisone at a high dose? Any suggestions??? Please?
