And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
Hi, my name is Mary and I haven't been diagnosed with Cushings yet. I have all the symptoms (flushing, bruising easily, severe and sudden fat redistribution and now I feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin with anxiety). My body just started changing all of a sudden last Fall. I first went to the Endo because I thought my PCOS was getting worse. Believe it or not, I went to see him because of vanity!
My endo started the tests. I have a nodule on my adrenal gland, but they haven't got the results of the 24hr urine. Then they ordered all of these additional blood tests. The nurse said they were repeating a previous blood tests but when I got to the lab they said they were new blood tests that had to be sent to an outside lab. It seems a little scary because they didn't tell me what the tests were. I guess I don't want to know for now.
I know that most of you have gained weight - I have lost weight. It could be because of a medication I'm taking or due to Cushings, which I'm assuming I have. I know it's rare, but I'm scared that it will be malignant.
I have 2 kids, 6 and 3.
