MamaBibbs's Story

I am 35 years old. I actually was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, high colesterol, low thyroid, low hormones including growth hormone. I was sent to an endo back in spring of 2007, as of October I found out my cortisol was way to high in my blood, after doing a 24 hr urine. My cortisol was 1667!!

My endo had MRI's of my brain, pituitary, adrenal, kidney, pancreas and CT of lungs- NOTHING? Next was the petrosinal sampling wich showed I was below normal on Right side and regular vein and was 20x to high on left side....

I was sent to a neurosurgeon that was to preform the surgery, he decided against it. I am almost bed ridden, My moods are all over the place-( I got a restraining order against me from my 8 yr olds school and they transfered him to another school) My muscles are weak, bladder and kidneys are week, blood pressure, sugars, pulse are all high, migranes daily.

I keep getting the run around from all these places (gamma knife, cyber knife, surgery) everyone wants to give me their opinion, and basically poke at the cushings patient. they arent talking about treating me until april or later???? I dont htink these people other than my endo realize how severe this is....

As of thursday 1/31/08 I have given up. I am at the point that I have jumped thru enough of their hoops and still no help in sight. I just figure when I end up in the hospital (which I hope instead of dying) then maybe someone will fix this...

I am done going to doctors with out any hope of actually treating me. I know that means as my medications run out Ill get worse and I do love my kids but I cant take it anymore. I thought the hard part was etting diagnosed????? Any advice or help would greatly be welcomed. I have read up on this situation and have had to teach the doctors I've seen that think they know......
