My 6 year old daughter has been showing symptoms of Cushing's. We are currently waiting on results from the 24 hr urine test.
Last May she put on weight in her belly overnight. Recently all the weight is going on around her face and neck. The reason we first went to the doctor was because she had a rash on her forehead. The doctor told us that is was acne and there must be something going on. We have gone through numerous hormone tests, but nothing conculsive yet.
I found some info on the web about Cushing's and suggested this to the pediatric endoc dr. After begging for another appointment she agreed to see Gracie. I showed her the pictures from Halloween 07 and 08. She was blown away by the difference in her looks. That's when she agreed to do more testing.
I am looking for any moms out there that have gone through a similar experience. Thanks!
