My name is Kim. I am 39 years old.

In April 2008 I began gaining weight, had an enormous amout of stretch marks on my upper arms and abdomen. I had problems with my stomach, nausea and vomiting, headaches, unrelenting fatigue etc. I went to my yearly exam with my ob/gyn and showed him my arms.

He immediately asked if I had heard of Cushing's. I had not. He looked me over and said I had a "buffalo hump" round face and He said he was almost sure I had cushings. He ran tests, but none came back high enough to say for sure it was Cushings.

I am now seening and Endocronologist and he told me the first time he walked in the room he said to himself "She has cushings." Now after rounds of tests with nothing showing a definite diagnosis, he thinks I am cycling and wants me to try to track my symptoms and I am really trying.

It is so frustrating for the doctors to say we are pretty sure this is what you have but none of the tests showing anything. I am waiting on some additional blood tests at the moment and am hoping for the best. I seeems a little sad to be hoping that you have a disease, but I just want a name to why I can hardly work, function as a wife and mother, and just do the things I enjoy.

I hope from this site that I will learn more about cushing's and realize I am not alone in my trials.
