Kim's Story

I have been having symptoms for a few years now.

It first started with the weight gain. No matter what I do I can't seem to lose it (I have now gained 30 pounds). I have a very busy work schedule, but no matter how much sleep I get, it just isn't enough. Some days the fatigue is unbearable.

I started going to the doctor because I couldn't lose weight and I was gaining too much size in my breasts (I didn't need help there). I also have loss of feeling and numbness in my arms and legs, the moon face, and I have terrible pain in my feet when standing or walking. I don't seem to have the stretch marks, loss/gain of hair, or thinning skin.

My GP sent me to a surgeon who noticed I had a "buffalo hump" on the back of my neck. I told him I thought it just came with the weight gain and he informed me it did not.

I had a regular blood test which did not show high levels of cortisol, so my GP sent me to an endocrinologist. The endocrinologist believes I have Cushings. I took the low-dose pill at 11:00 and went back the next morning for blood work. Tests still not back yet. Does anyone know how long it takes these tests to come back? Also, does any of this sound like Cushings to any of you?
