And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
My Comments: I am newly diagnosed, but have know for some time I had Cushing's syndrome since my mom also has Cushing's from long term steroid use. She recognized the "buffalo hump" on me right away when she came down during one of my hospitalizations.
Then I was described by a doctor at a research hospital as "cushingoid." We are getting me off of the prednisone, but I really don't know what lies ahead. I'm anxious to learn from all of you what happens after treatment. When do I look like me again? When can we go places without taking the wheelchair?
Finally seeing an endocrinologist and getting a diagnosis was a relief for me. Now I feel like I'm on a road to near normalcy.
