And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
Hi, my name is jennifer. I am 36 years old and i have always struggled with my weight, but in the last 6 months i have gained about 40 pounds.
I have a HUGE hump on my upper back. My daughter says she thinks it has always been there, but it has increased in size dramatically recently.
My primary care sent me for a single 8am blood draw for my cortisol levels and they came back elevated ( i do not know the results, they just told me elevated.)
I am always tired, but have alot of trouble sleeping at night. I am extremely emotional. I have always struggled with depression, but it is also getting drastically worse. I feel like I am drowning, I am always screaming at my kids, over stupid stuff, I cant believe i am reacting to things the way I am. I have been getting sick alot, always someting upper respiratory. I have strange sores on my hands, and still have a bug bite from like July of last year.
I really think I have Cushings, and in some way I think I would be releived if I really do. Then I know I am not going insane.
How long does it normally take for a final diagnosis? HOw long from that does it take for them to do anything? what is treatment like? Will I ever feel like a normal human?
