And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
As I think back, I have had symptoms for awhile, but I didn't realize. Hindsight is 20/20,huh? It started with weight gain. I have always been small. I'm 5'2" (I swear I used to be 5'3") and between 105-110, size 2. Then I went to a size 4. No big deal. I was 35 and your metabolism slows down...blah,blah,blah....
I've had muscle spasms in my thoracic area of my back and stopped going to Dr.'s in early 2006 after a Dr. told me I was crazy and making the muscles in back spasm myself. WOW! I didn't realize I had that much talent to make my back muscles spasm! So I was ordering my pain meds on line and eventually was taking too much so I decided to go to a pain clinic to see if they could help.
That's when I got my injections. Kenalog in my epidural space a month apart. 80mg each time. Then one day I woke up and my head looked like a pumpkin. I am 135 right now and I have symptome developing almost daily. My last injection was almost 2 months ago!
Thank God for this site because I am a researcher and found very little about cushings other than here. I found plenty about cushing's in animals though!
Waiting for testing to begin so I can get some answers finally.
