Jamie's Story...

Hi All My name is jamie,my mum has for years suffered with all the symptoms of Cushings Disease IE;rapid weight gain,central obesity,moon face,excessive sweating,thinning of the skin,muscle weakness,buffalo hump and so on.

Recently she was bitten by an insect which made her very unwell,the doctors put her on some kind of steroids which have sent her off the rails completely.

She is now in hospital very sick and showing strong signs of psychological disturbances.

All kinds of different doctors have been to see her over the past few days but cannot come up with a possible diagnosis. I have searched the internet night and day to see if I can shed some light on the problem and came across Cushings Syndrome.

I have mentioned it to the doctors but they seem to think that is unlikely,they was due to send her for a scan today on her adrenal gland but now think it is unnessacery.

Any help would be much appreciated.
