I went to my Dr for over a year before family friend that was in nursing school heard about Cushing's in a classmate's paper.
It has been a 5 year struggle. I have had two surgeries on pituitary tumours and I had Gamma Knife Radiation in Virginia in Sept 2004 (today is Dec 7 2004). The Drs say it may take up to 5 years before we see results. But things are already starting to look better.
