And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
My journey with steroids started about 5 yrs ago when I was high dosed with solu-medrol after being exposed to brush fires in Orlando (Florida).
For the next 3 yrs I was on and off of prednisone for asthma flares every 3-4 months.
Starting just over a year ago I had to go on prednisone long term for possible adrenal insuffiency, asthma, small bowel dysautonomia, autonomic dysfunction, and an undifferentiated mixed connective tissue disease.
I try my hardest to stay at a stable dose of the steroids, but that is pretty impossible at this point since my asthma flares up every few months, the docs bump up my dose and it takes me a couple of months to wean down since my adrenals are not working properly anymore.
I am currently on 12.5 mg of prednisone, and am in full-blown cushings. I am HOPING that I can get lower on the dose and the symptoms of Cushings will dimish...I HOPE I HOPE I HOPE!!
