Breanna's Story...

Breanna (7 yr. old Sheltie mix) was diagnosed on Jan. 15, 2004 with Addison's disease.

We have been on a constant roller coaster with medications. She seemed to level off back in Sept. but my doctor didn't know how to handle the medications and insisted that Bree continue on a higher dose of prednisone and lower dose of Fludrocortisone. Bree continued to gain weight, her coat became dull, dry and brittle, her vitality never returned, her hunger is immense.

I finally changed vets and we had a full panel run again. Everything came back fine, but when he took one look at her he said she is exhibiting Cushing's symptoms because of the overdose of Pred. We are now working to lower it.
