Very kind, through, and really listened to all I had to
say. Must be known in the Dr community as the one to see, as another
Endo recommended him to me.He felt he had the experience to handle and
to send me for the complex testing it would take to diagnose and maybe
treat this rare disorder. I had Dr Carlsons name already but this just
confirmed he was the correct dr to see. It was the correct decision and
he is helping me forge ahead keeping me in the loop of what tests are
next and the most experienced radiologist and surgeons to see.
Dr. Carlson is board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology and metabolism and his clinical practice has been around since 1974.. Dr. Carlson is also a professor appointed at stonybrook since 1985. he's a great doctor, he takes his time to listen and does an in depth evaluation. i
highly recommend him. |

If someone doesn't have Cushings, but has a
disease like Late Onset Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia (which is a cortisol
deficiency due to someone being born without a specific enzyme to convert
hormones into cortisol), then I'd recommend the following doctor. I was
originally diagnosed with this disease but she discovered I didn't have it and
saved me from starting cortisol replacements which a few endos suggested. While
she is focused on helping her patients with the rare disorder she works with,
and won't start testing for Cushings, she at least may stop someone from taking
cortisol if not necessary. |

Did my Petorsal Sinus Sampling Everything was done in a timely manner He was informative, understanding and in close contact with Dr Post the Doctor that can do the pituitary surgery. Only Dr recommended to do proceedure by my endo Dr Carlson who is also on the list of helpful Dr. He Is also a keeper. Had ok experience was not bad Dont be afraid if it has to be done. |
