Dr. Levitsky
was excellent. My pediatrician in Binghamton had suggested Cushing's on my
first visit, my local endo sent me to Dr. Levitsky, and within two months I
was having surgery. Like I said, she's in pediatric endocrinology, but she
really listens and asks pertinent questions. She's had lots of experience
with Cushing's and knows how to treat it. She was great about keeping in
touch with my local endo through letters about my visit and results, and she
always sent a copy to my house. She's down-to-earth and makes it a priority
to keep her patients informed about their own condition. (Very important!
She's a wonderful doctor and a wonderful person. |

Dr. Rosen is an exceptionally skilled and compassionate doctor. He
recognized my symptoms as Cushing's when I had only been presenting them for
six months. Even though my symptoms were so minor at that point, Dr. Rosen
made sure that all appropriate tests were done; he is one of those few
doctors that will not rule out the possibility of a disease simply because
it is rare. He also pushed to have all the time-consuming tests done
(including 24hr cortisol, dexamethasone suppression, petrosal sampling and
MRI) within a two month period. Dr. Rosen was always willing to answer any
of my questions no matter what the time of day, and he never once made me
feel like I was pestering him. |
