Dr. Briones-Urbina is wonderful. Though she is very stern, she is very knowledgeable. She will take an hour at a time to completely explain your disease to you. She talks to you like a professor to a student without dumbing anything down. If you really want to see her, she will see you. She is very willing to listen to your opinion about what is happening, though she may not always accept it. She is what a doctor should be. I am so glad to have found her.

Toronto

Neurosurgeon

Toronto Western Hospital,
Dr. Fred Gentili
.

The neurosurgeon who operated on me came extremely highly recommended and I can't speak of him enough (he was amazing and very caring).

Dr Gentili was also my doctor for a short time. I didn't like him at all. I found him to be rather abrupt and not very caring. It is a good reminder to keep an open mind about other people's opinions.

Endocrinologist

Western Hospital in Toronto,
Dr. Robert Silver

An endocrinologist I met while in recovery while at Western Hospital in Toronto, was Dr. Robert Silver. His manner and care really struck me and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend anyone in the Toronto area to seek him out!

Dr. André Lacroix
Hôtel Dieu Hospital
Montréal, Canada

(514) 890-8165

Dr. Lacroix is, most importantly, a good man - dedicated to his work, and with many years of experience. He is experimenting with a new technique for people who have had a pituitary adenoma removed: it detects the possible recurrence of pituitary adenomas up to several years before they actually begin causing symptoms. It involves one full day (9am to 9pm) doing blood tests, and he recommends it once per year.
