I am a 43 yr old female, married with two grown daughters.
I have been on steroids for severe asthma since I was 4 months old. Non stop since 1984. I have decreased my steroids to 5 mg per day over the last YEAR with the help of my wonderful pulmonologist and pure determination. I am on Methotrexate twice weekly to help me wean. Still taking highest dose steroid inhaler.
Was hospitalized for 11 months at Denver's National Jewish Hospital for Asthma when I was 12 years old. Asthma does not rule me.
Now, I am determined to get in shape and work on myself.
I would like to hear from anyone who has severe myopathy symptoms from steroid withdrawal.
