Jody (jodiann) is from Tacoma, Washington. She was diagnosed with Cushing's syndrome about 3 years ago. She also was diagnosed with bliateral multinodular adrenal hyperplasia. Her mom died from complications from a bilateral adrenalectomy (BLA) in 1978. She had Cushing's syndrome with pheochromocytomas. Jody updated her bio in December 2007.

Jennifer (jqatar07) is from Doha, Qatar. She is not yet diagnosed with Cushing's but has many symptoms. She has been diagnosed with hypothyroidism and she takes Toprol XL for heart palpitations. She will see a Cushing's Expert in Dubai UAE in November. Jennifer updated her bio after seeing an endocrinologist in Dubai UAE. Two pituitary tumors were found and the endo referred her to see Dr. Bill Ludlam.

Mary S (ladysslipper) is from Frostburg, Maryland. She recently completed a clinical trial at NIH because of an adrenal nodule. She also has hyperplasia of both adrenals and primary hyperaldosteronism as well as elevated cortisol.

Tamera (AlaskaNurse) is from Kasilof, Alaska. She had pituitary surgery at Shands in Florida. She was also tested for pheochromocytosis.

Linda updated her son's bio after finding a doctor to take him seriously. They'll see Dr. Serge Jabbour at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia January 7, 2008.

Wendy (wendy) is from Margate, Florida. She was diagnosed with Cushing's around 1989 and had her surgery at the NIH (National Institutes of Health). She had a recurrence and had her second surgery there, too. She now has adrenal insufficiency and epilepsy.

Her pituitary has begon to function again and she is weaning off Prednisone. She updated her bio again in November 2007 after her adrenal woke up and she was off steroids.

Sertoli-Leydig cell tumor is a cancer that starts in the female ovaries. The cancer cells produce and release a male sex hormone, which may cause the women to develop male physical characteristics (virilization), including facial hair and a deep voice.

Dianne (Dianne) is from Hondo, Texas. Her main symptom seems to be hypertension. During periods of hypertension she would have some Cushing's symptoms. She checked off "Adrenal" as her diagnosis but her bio doesn't mention any more about that.

Kathi B (KathiB) is from Whiteland, Indiana. It wasn't until she went to the ER that a doctor suggested Cushing's to Kathi. After Googling Cushing's she went to her endo and demanded testing. Her adrenal gland/tumor will be removed August 29, 2007.

Rhonda (Rhonda) is from Townsend, Montana. 4 years ago she had kidney stones. The doctors found a 4 cm adrenal tumor but did not feel it needed to be removed.

She has not been diagnosed with Cushing's but she HAS been diagnosed with many things including: enlarged pituitary; seizure activity in the temporal lobe; eurocardiogenic syndrome; type1 diabetes; ovarian cysts; trigeminal neuralgia; fibromyalgia; Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever; high cholesterol, osteoporosis, and high liver enzymes and bipolar disorder but she's not overweight.

Dr. Chris (DrChrisHE) is from the Dominican Republic. She is a Doctor of Public Health (UCLA educated US citizen--born in NY --currently living in the DR) who was diagnosed with cyclical Cushing's Disease by OHSU. She has had 2 transphenoidals and a BLA.

J (Gonzo) is from Michigan. She was misdiagnosed several times before 2001. J had an MRI that showed a 2-3 mm mircroadenoma on her pituitary and she took ketoconazole for several years.

MizBellaTru is from Herndon, Virginia. She has not been diagnosed with Cushing's but she has had a lot of illness over the past 12 years and symptoms that could be Cushing's. Some of the past diagnoses include Ulcerative Colitis, diabetes, seizures, Bells Palsey and Menieres.
