Archie's Story...

I am 49 years old. I was diagnosed with cushings in 1991. Like many of you, I was mis-diagnosed for about 8 years.

I had transphinodal surgery in 1992, which failed because of bleeding. The surgeon then went through the top of my head to remove the pituitory gland, which was successful. I lost my sense of smell and taste, and it took a while to recover, but I am greatful.

My skin is still thin and bruises and bleeds easily. In the past 2 years, I tire easily and have had bouts of depression.

In 1998 my endro doctor suggested I take hgh to better my quality of life, he wanted to do a 6 month trial, but it is expensive and my drug plan would not cover the costs. I have recently gone through a bad time and am revisiting the use of hgh, I have many of the symptoms for being hgh deprived. My drug plan may cover the costs now, and I am waiting to hear. Hopefully it will work out I will keep you posted.
