And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
I was diagnosed with Cushing's in August, 2001.
My blood pressure was soaring out of control while on meds, and I had 3 stress fractures in my feet in a year. I had never broken a bone in my life before that.
My weight was completely out of control, reaching a high of 232. I had a buffalo hump on my neck and I seemed to have little black whiskers under my chin.
I had a tumor on my right adrenal gland and had it removed laproscopically on November 2, 2001.
Since my surgery five months ago, I have lost 25 Lbs., my buffalo hump is almost gone, and my moon-face is going away.
I'm beginning to look like myself again for the 1st time in about 5 years or so. I'm not sure how long I have had Cushing's, but it's been at least 5 years, probably more like 10. The recovery process is a long hard road, but I'm hoping that the end results will be worth it!
