And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
I am 48 and January 2007 was diagnosed with an left adrenal tumor (4.3cm) and cushings disease.
For the last eight years i have suffered chronic fatigue, back ache, high blood pressure, bruising, depression, weight gain 30 kgs, reflux and swollen stomache. My hair had gone thick and curly, my face colour has darkened, two lumps have appeared on top corner of my eyelids and am glucose intolerent. I never feel cold, and take forever to make any disisions. I struggle so walk, bend and find it difficult to carry anything more than a kilo in weight. Through out all this i kept pushing my self to work and thought all of this was because of depression. Thanks to a dear friend and a new doctor i have been finally diagnosed.
I am booked for laparoscopic surgery in the next few weeks to remove the left adrenal gland. Hopefully i will get my life back!
I would be happy to hear from anyone who has this procedure.
