And It's About Time There Was Some Support For Cushing's!
MY name is Andrea and I am 30 years old.
I have had the symptomes of cushings for a year and a half. I hadn't known anything aobut cushings disease until just recently.
I have been seeing a neurologist. Last month I brought up cushings disease. He said that is one thing we haven't tested for. He is taking his sweet time ording tests. No testing as of yet. I call the office daily and leave messages for the nurse line. I never get a return phone call. The neurologist said he is sending me to a headache specialist whic I do not think will help since that is only one symptom I have.
I am depressed, have severe anxiety and panic. I feel like i am in a constant mental fog and can not conocentrate. I have gained tons of weight and have to wear maternity clothes. My abdomen is huge. I have new facial hair and acne. I also have many large stretch marks.I cry often and I feel hopeless. I have noticed swelling in my fingers and abdomen and thighs. I also have visual changes such as lots of floaters, disrupted depth perception and things just seem visually unclear. My head feels like it could explode from the pressure.
I went to the ER a few days ago. I can't take it anymore. I am afraid things will get extremely bad before I am diagnosed. Does anyone have any suggestions? I need a doctor who will listen and help me. I have asked for a 24 hour urine test and an abdominal scan MRI or whatever. I feel aches and pressure in my abdomen.
The doc just ignores me. What can I do? Please help.
